8 Pairs of Fun and Fashionable Sneakers

As I mentioned in my last post, I am so excited that sneakers are so stylish this summer. You can wear them dressed up with skirts or dresses for an unexpected chic look or you can dress them down with jeans, shorts, and tees for a cute and comfy look. There are so many stylish options out there, so I am showing you 8 of my favorites for the summer.

Maternity Fashion: Blue and White

Hi guys! I have been going through such a hard time trying to find clothes to fit this growing belly. I am excited that the weather is changing because I can wear more dresses and stop trying to fit in to my pre-pregnancy jeans. I saw this dress in H&M and knew it would be perfect for me and I love it because I can wear it after I have the baby as well. It doesn't have any stretch in it so I may not get much use out of it in the coming months but it's perfect for now.

I was going to a concert this day so I wanted to be comfortable so I paired this dress with these adorable Aldo slides. They are super comfy and in-trend for the summer. I am excited that flats and sneakers are so trendy this summer. I can be comfortable during pregnancy without compromising style.

Spring Florals

Well, as of yesterday I am now 25 weeks pregnant!!! Wow.... the time is going so fast but still so slow. With my last pregnancy, I didn't take the time to enjoy being pregnant. So although it is hard to see the changes to my body and the SCALE, I have decided to embrace it and try to remain true to myself. But I am more than halfway through and I haven't started to prepare for whats to come. I have so much to do from organizing and preparing baby's room to buying all the much needed supplies that I've thrown out or given away since my first baby. So that will be my plan for the upcoming weekend: buy a new crib and paint the baby's room.

Getting dressed while pregnant can be somewhat difficult. I am torn between the "I refuse to buy maternity clothes" and the "my clothes are way too tight" stages. With my first pregnancy, I never wore pregnancy clothes. I just bought clothes a size or two bigger and I made it work. With this pregnancy it doesn't seem to be working the same. So i gave in and bought a pair of maternity shorts from Target. They have made me change my mind about maternity clothes. They are so comfortable and they fit so well. I decided to wear them with this Missguided tropical boyfriend shirt. This outfit was super cute for the Memorial Day weekend but I still felt really comfortable. So this was my way of mixing "normal" clothes with "maternity" clothes.

Outfit Details:

Top: Missguided  (sale)

Shorts: Target

Heels: Steve Madden (old)

Until next time.... XOXO

2015

Happy New Year!!

Whether or not you want to believe it, 2015 is here. And although some may not believe in resolutions, I do find the New Year to be an opportunity to reflect. Reflecting on the past is what helps me to grow and to find my true passion. As I reflect on this year, I am filled with emotion. This year has been a roller coaster full of ups and downs with a more downs than ups. But this year has helped me to focus on happiness and my future.

There is so much that I want to accomplish in 2015, but the main thing is to "Love Yours" (in the words of J. Cole). I want to learn to enjoy the life I live and live in the moment. I want to learn to be thankful and value what is in my life. In the world of social media, it is so easy to see people "doing better than you" and begin to believe that you aren't doing well. With that said, I am only going to focus on ME and MINE and how to be the best I can be.

Here are my NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS:

1. Focus on my goals: I have so many ideas and plans that I want to accomplish. I will start planning and making deadlines for myself.

2. Stop procrastinating: Time flies sooo fast. I will make a conscious effort to stop putting things off and do them in the moment.

3. Read more: I haven't read a book in about 6 months. I would like to begin reading at least one book a month.

4. Be a better friend and family member: My communication skills are bad. I will ensure I reach out via phone to all my family and friends at least once a month.

5. LIVE: Have fun! Life is too short to not enjoy it. I want to be present in the moments and enjoy life, meet more people, connect with current friends, and travel.

6. Expose Zoie (my daughter) to more: Take her to more shows, plays, and places. And involve her in more activities.

7. Take an hour a day for myself: I get so caught up in everything that I forget about me. In that hour, I can read a book, get my nails done, eat a meal alone, etc. Learn myself and love myself.

8. And the obvious: Be more healthy. Health is so important and I need to ensure I am eating better and exercising to be able to enjoy life longer. And look good, of course!

Smile more, laugh more, love more!!!!

I'm hoping this year brings you much love and happiness!

Lipstick of the Week: MAC Film Noir

I am so excited for fall. There are so many things to look forward to: sweaters, jackets, boots, and LIPSTICK. If you know me, I am a red all year round girl. I am pretty predictable when it comes to lipstick. But in the fall I like to experiment with the dark, plums, burgundies, and even black. I am currently loving MAC's "Film Noir". This lipstick is a satin finish so it has a little more shine than I'm used to. I usually do lipsticks with a matte finish so this is a quite a change for me, as well.

I wear this lipstick with the MAC liner "Nightmoth". It actually looks much darker in person than in these pictures. This is a lipstick that you would wear when you want to stand out in the crowd. If you apply it really heavy, you can achieve an almost black lip. It is great with almost any complexion and will definitely be my go-to shade for the colder months to come.

What are some of your favorite fall lipstick colors? Talk about it below!!

XOXO

15 Great Fall Jackets

It's the 2nd day of spring and it's COLD already. I am not complaining because this is my favorite season of the year. This is the season of my birthday, Halloween, football season, pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks, and great fall fashion pieces. The first piece I usually buy when it gets cold is a coat or a jacket. So I have put together 15 of my favorite jackets for the season. From capes, to trench coats, to biker jackets, here are some of my go-to jackets. Hopefully you will find some you love, as well.

10 Classic Fall Pieces

10 Classic Fall Pieces

Fall is upon us and it is about that time to invest in your fall wardrobe. I believe if you invest in classic pieces, they will get you through season after season and year after year. So I have picked 10 pieces that will be worth the investment because you will be able to wear them for a while.

1. Steve Madden 'Margo' - These black strappy heels can be worn with jeans and a tee for girls night or a LBD for date night.

2. American Eagle Chambray Shirt - This will be your favorite denim shirt and everyone needs at least one denim shirt. The boyfriend fit of this shirt makes it a perfect go-to top.

3. TOPSHOP MOTO Ripped Jeans - Distressed denim can make any basic outfit look effortlessly chic. Wear these jeans with a printed tee and a blazer for a great look.

4. Forever 21 Faux Leather Tote - This tote is such a must-have for me. I always carry my life and more in my bag and this bag can help you stay in style while doing so.

5. TOPSHOP Hybrid Dress - The LBD is a must have in every wardrobe. I love this one because you can wear with a blazer for work and still wear for a night out.

6. Prada PR 29PS Sunglasses - A trendy statement pair of sunglasses automatically completes any outfit. I LOVE this pair because they are so unique but can still go with many looks.

7. Michael Kors Blair Watch - This watch is a classic piece that you can wear for years and years to come. It is the perfect piece to finish any outfit.

8. H&M Wool-Blend Coat - Finish any basic outfit with this powder pink coat. Sure to keep you warm and stylish this fall.

9. Frye 'Billy' Boot - Great boots are a must for fall fashion. I love this cowboy style because they are not your everyday pair of boots and I can wear them with almost everything.

10. Naked and Famous Skinny Jean - Appropriate for work, night out, or daily errands, I couldn't live without a great pair of black skinny jeans.
