Floral prints always make me feel like a free spirit and is the perfect print when I'm wearing my hair in its natural state. Natural hair and floral prints remind me of summer, music festivals, cookouts, fairs, and backyard parties. So I figured I would wear this because the summer is coming to an end and I needed to experience that feeling for what may be the last time of the year. This kimono is my absolute favorite. I got it over a year ago on karmaloop.com and have worn it at least 6 times this summer. It is light and flowy and can be worn over tank tops, dresses, and with jeans. And it can be worn throughout all seasons.
When reviewing these pics, I realized that it is time for me to start eating healthy and exercising. Partly because I want to look better in shorts and tank-tops lol, but also so I can start feeling better. So next week I am going to head back to the gym and even catch a couple yoga or spin classes with my friends. That way I can get my workout on and still catch up on some much-needed girl talk. My birthday is at the end of October and I want to look good when I turn 29!!! (GASP)... I'm getting old!!!
It's Thursday and the weekend is almost here! Enjoy your Labor Day Weekend!

I'm sure I need leopard therapy. Leopard is my all time favorite print and I own so much of it; from shoes, scarves, bags, comforter sets, and home accessories. So when I saw this top at H&M, I had to have it. I love the fact that it has the leather sleeves because it gives the top a little more edge and fun.
It is also a great top to have because of its versatility. I love clothes that I can wear to work and out. Go out and add some leopard to your wardrobe. Trust me, its a print that will bring happiness to your day. :-)

As I am preparing for the fall and shopping for my fall wardrobe, I have noticed that Forever 21 has some really nice pieces for the season. Although many believe it to be a young brand with styles for the 21-year old and below, I have found that they carry many styles for the young, old, and in-between. They have nice tailored jackets, many different washes and styles in denim, and lots of fun accessories. I also find the quality to be pretty good considering the price point. Below I have picked out some of my favorite pieces for the fall season.

Shoes: Shoe Dazzle
Necklace: Forever 21
I couldn't wait to wear this black and white color blocked blazer dress that I got from this cute little boutique, Nabee. I love the contrast of black and white for the season and I like the hint of faux leather with the asymmetric hem. To complete the look, I rocked my lovely pearl necklace from Forever 21 and decided to break up the black and white with the tan clutch and shoes.
I couldn't find this exact dress online but I did include some similar items.

The slip-on sneaker trend has been holding on strong for at least two seasons now and I am happy to see that it is here to stay for fall. They are perfect because they have a dressier look than your everyday sneaker but much more comfortable than a 4-inch heel. They come in different colors, prints and brands from Steve Madden to Prada to Giuseppe Zanotti. The pair I am loving right now is the 10 Crosby Derek Lam slip-on. I love the haircalf material in the checkerboard print. They are like the classic checkerboard Vans with a classier feel.
Are you feeling the slip-on trend? Which pair are you loving right now?

This summer has been very strange with the weather. One day it's in the 90's, the next it's raining, gloomy and in the 70's. So layering pieces like this faux leather vest have been a staple in my wardrobe. It adds a little warmth on those cool days and not too bulky for the super hot days. I was looking really casual with my ripped denim and basic t, so I added the vest and some heels for a girly feel. And of course the sunglasses and red lipstick finished the look off.

Trend of the week: The Shirt Dress
Whether denim, plaid, printed, or classic white; shirt dresses are a key piece in your summer/fall wardrobe. Pair your dress with stylish accessories like statement sunnies and a bold clutch to bring the dress from blah to chic. I posted different outfit suggestions for work, date, or casual day look. I'm pretty sure my wardrobe will consist of a couple of these dresses for the fall.
