The culotte pant is definitely making a comeback and will be seen all through the spring and summer months. It is like a skirt-pant blend because the length and flowy style is that of a skirt but they are, in fact, pants. If you are anything like me, you will be wondering how you would style these pants. Although cute and fashionable, they don’t seem very flattering. They are oversized, roomy pants that fall below your knees. One things for sure, this is not a pant that you can attempt to wear with flats. Heels are a definite must with this outfit; the higher the better. Also, because the pants are more of a baggy fit, it looks best paired with cropped tops or structured blazers. Although I have seen worn with oversized sweaters, you would have to be overly confident to pull that off because it would give off more of a boyish look. I've always hated culottes... on me. They're not too bad on other people, but I think my height ruined them for me. They make me feel extra short and stumpy lol. I would prefer if they had elastic at the bottom, like a shorter pair of the genie pants.
